SPRINGHOUSE FARM TN

Bunny Sales Policy
Welcome to Springhouse Farm, Tennessee 🤍
Hello, and thank you so much for considering Springhouse Farm, TN for your new family addition.
We are a small, ARBA-registered, family-run closed rabbitry, dedicated to thoughtfully raising quality rabbits for loving pet homes. Maintaining a closed rabbitry is an intentional choice that prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of both our rabbits and our family—allowing us to provide you with the healthiest bunny possible.
Please take a moment to carefully review the Adoption & Sales Policy below before proceeding.
All adoptions are governed by this policy, regardless of whether it has been read in full. By reserving or purchasing a bunny, you acknowledge and agree to this policy in its entirety. This policy is subject to updates at any time.
🐰 Reservation & Deposits
To reserve a bunny, simply send me a message letting me know which bunny you’re interested in along with any questions you may have. If you decide it’s the right fit, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your bunny (see QR codes below).
Due to the rise in online scams, some families prefer to use PayPal Goods & Services instead of Friends & Family. This is perfectly fine—however, if using Goods & Services, the processing fee must be added to the total sent.
A bunny is not considered reserved until a deposit has been received.
Remaining balance due:
• Local pickup: at pickup
• Transport: at 8 weeks of age, even if transport occurs later
If I send a payment reminder and do not hear back within 3 days, I will assume the bunny is no longer being reserved and will begin the rehoming process. Deposits are only refunded if something unforeseen happens to the bunny while still in my care.
For transported rabbits, payment in full is required 24 hours prior to placement on transport.
📜 Pedigree
All rabbits in my program are pedigreed unless otherwise specified.
Bunnies sold at pet price do not include a pedigree.
📍 Local Pickup
For the health and safety of my rabbits and family, I operate as a closed rabbitry and do not allow home visits. All local pickups take place at an agreed-upon public location—typically Walmart in Newport, TN (1075 Cosby Highway).
Please arrive on time for your scheduled pickup. I understand that delays happen—just send a message if you’re running late. If you need to reschedule, you must notify me before the scheduled time. Failure to do so may result in the bunny being made available again.
🚐 Transport Options
Local public meetup is available, and limited delivery may be considered for a fee of $0.60 per mile.
Long-distance transport is arranged at the buyer’s discretion. I am happy to recommend trusted transporters and assist with coordination. I am also open to new, reputable transporters, though I reserve the right to decline any transporter I am not comfortable with.
Once a bunny is placed on transport, I am no longer responsible for its health or well-being.
There is no boarding fee for bunnies waiting until 10–12 weeks for transport. If transport is delayed beyond 3 weeks, a care and boarding fee of $25 per week may apply.
For local pickups delayed beyond the originally scheduled date, boarding is $25 per week, charged in full for any portion of the week.
🩺 Health
All bunnies are healthy to the best of my knowledge at the time they leave my care. We can do a brief health check together at pickup. Once a bunny is in your care, responsibility transfers to the buyer.
Rabbits are sensitive animals, and I cannot guarantee long-term health, show potential, weight, fertility, production, or temperament. I am not responsible for veterinary expenses at any point during the bunny’s life. That said, I am always happy to help answer questions or offer guidance.I reserve the right to hold a bunny longer if I feel it is in their best health interest.
💕 Temperament
Bunnies are handled regularly and come from parents with excellent temperaments. I will always share my honest observations as they grow, but temperament can change with age, hormones, genetics, and environment.
If temperament concerns arise, I’m happy to offer suggestions—spaying or neutering is often a wonderful option for pet rabbits.
⚧ Gender
Gender is visually assessed at birth, at 4 weeks, and weekly thereafter. While I am typically very accurate, young rabbits can develop differently and gender is not always 100% guaranteed.
Refunds are not offered for gender changes after a bunny leaves my care. If a correction is made while still in my care, I do offer a gender-related refund. Your happiness—and your bunny’s happiness—are always important to me.
🌾 Feed & Transition
Each bunny goes home with a bag of transition feed. I currently feed Kalmbach 18% Rabbit Feed which can be conveniently purchased at Chewy and some Feed Stores.
You’re welcome to transition to another quality feed such as Oxbow, Small Pet Select, or Sherwood Rabbit Food. Try to use a food with 17-18% protein needed for wool growth. For young bunnies, I recommend unlimited pellets for growing kits and Timothy hay. If you decide to offer Alfalfa I recommend only a very small amount as I see digestive issues with young kits and alfalfa so I do not personally recommend. I do not recommend feeding alfalfa to adults as it has to much calcium.) Quality pet hay options include Oxbow, Kaytee, and Small Pet Select (2nd or 3rd cut).
Please visit the New Bunny Information and First Days tabs on my website for more detailed feeding guidance.
🤍 Lifetime Support
If at any point you are unable to care for a bunny adopted from me, please reach out. If possible, I will always take them back—no questions asked—or assist with rehoming to ensure their continued well-being.
